霹靂奔馳的芭樂──〈Show Me Heaven〉by Maria McKee

1990年的電影《Days of Thunder》（台譯：霹靂男兒），由Tom Cruise和Nicole Kidman主演，導演則是曾經執導《Top Gun》的Tom Scott。內容是有關一名賽車手在經歷意外受傷之後，重新出發贏得大賽（Winston Cup）的故事，

 

說實在的，電影內容我完全沒印象了！但是原聲帶裡頭這首〈Show Me Heaven〉印象卻是很深。

這首歌由Maria McKee演唱，而她剛拿到此曲時並不願意灌錄，除非原作者同意她修改歌詞，所以最後她成為此曲演唱者及共同作詞者。這首歌也是她唱片生涯的最高峰，曾經拿下英國（4週）以及幾個歐洲國家的單曲榜冠軍，在美國則只到28名，當然成為她的代表作。

這首歌光是旋律，就讓人很有畫面，搭配電影更是盪氣迴腸。

既然是芭樂歌，當然會有很多翻唱的版本。

 

Cheap Trick主唱Robin Zander的翻唱，收在1993年他單飛的同名專輯裡，Maria McKee也參了一腳，但是聽起來又不太像男女對唱。

 

澳洲歌手Tina Arena在1995年推出的翻唱，我個人沒有很喜歡。

 

 

Laura Branigan在1995年推出的精選輯《The Best of Branigan》有翻唱此曲，我向來不喜歡她的聲音，這個版本我也覺得很不怎麼樣。

瑞典歌手Cecilia Vennersten以瑞典語翻唱，收錄在她1995年同名專輯裡，聽起來別有番風味。

 

美國年輕鄉村歌手Jessica Andrews的翻唱，收錄在她2001年專輯《Who I Am》，音色平平，詮釋很不到位。

 

英國龐克樂團Zombina and the Skeletones的翻唱，硬是把慢板抒情歌搞成快節奏龐克。

 

愛爾蘭DJ Mickey Modelle的版本，2007年發行，由Jessy演唱，一整個euro舞曲風。

 

愛爾蘭歌手Nadine Coyle在2002年參加英國選秀節目Popstars The Rivals翻唱此曲，讓她獲得選入Girls Aloud的機會，人美歌聲佳，是新世代的佳作！

 

這首歌也成為21世紀在全世界方興未艾的選秀節目中，參賽者喜歡挑的歌曲之一。

 

2009年某國選秀節目的翻唱，我覺得唱得不錯！
